A summer addition to my peaceful food series. I eventually want to make a calendar of these photos and I was going to make one last year but I didn’t have enough photos yet, this one came to mind this week when I bought the first watermelon of the year.
Today I had pretty much the best day at work ever. I took Cody, the boy I work with to my favourite lake/summer camp/favourite place on earth to visit the campers and we had a blast. I managed to go for a quick swim and was reminded why I love that lake and this area so much. Then I got Cody into the water and he had the best time, so much laughing and smiling and it really made me feel like this job is totally worth it.

Vintage / People / Urban / Photography: This one is for you Ness:)
I went back to this location five times trying to get this urban landscape. I’m very proud of this piece of gritty street photography, basically I just saw one shaft of natural light (just for a moment), a puff of smoke, a parting amongst all the people, and a cool red beret – click click click, I punched out 6 shots in about 3seconds before this moment disappeared. If you are looking for this location it is called Center Point in Flinders Lane, in Melbourne Australia. It has a really interesting cinematic feel to it, I just added the geotag for those that have been interested in the exact location.

it probably doesn’t count as a part of my 365 anymore, since there has been a huge gap. but it would’ve been 28/365 then.

Still from the asylum. I dont want to shoot new stuff until I get all of these out there.
This place is known for its amazing corridors. This is one of those corridors and my reaction when I first saw it was "wow, dang!" This is shot halfway through the corridor btw so there’s almost this much behind the camera too.
Title thanks go to X.B. Thanks bud!

Happy Bike Wednesday!
My inspiration bank has temporarily ran dry (hopefully just for today!) although it’s not that I lack ideas, today I just couldn’t seem to make any of them work so I decided to just take my new bike out for a spin.
I must say that in the few short weeks since I’ve had Sam (that’s his name now) I’ve come to love him. He’s super fast and doesn’t make any noise and is gentle even though sometimes I forget that he doesn’t have mountain bike parts. We’re getting along just great. I tend to treat my bikes more like…well, horses I guess. I name them and I take care of them and sometimes I even talk to them (like saying "sorry Sam" when I accidently hit a pothole or curb). Bikes are just a whole lot more than transportation to me I guess.
